SAT final days

This week sees the final two days of $atterley’s attempt to, effectively, overturn North $toneville’s 34 years of constant rejections.

Meanwhile, not even a week into Summer, and the East coast is seeing the trauma of bushfire, that we know too-well, here in our increasingly bushfire-prone Shire of Mundaring.

That long and lived-experience helped Save Perth Hills to be accepted as a Party to the State Tribunal proceedings - an historic decision allowing a community group a ‘seat at the table’, to explain, first hand, the human reality of bushfire fallout.

This story - from the weekend’s NSW fire disaster, highlights important perspectives that we provided the Tribunal hearing - specifically, how fast fire approaches and the unpredictability of evacuations - in this case, to stay and help an elderly neighbour.

SPH, the Shire and WA Planning Commission’s closing submissions are being heard 10am Tuesday, and $atterley’s, 10am Thursday…at SAT, 565 Hay St Perth.

The hearings are open to the public.

Please wear your Save Perth Hills T-shirt to show your support…

We’d love to see you there.

No placards please and remember we need to be respectful and remain silent whilst in the Tribunal room. No recordings or photos are allowed.
