Save Perth Hills joined thousands in Forrest Place today calling for an end to mining in our world-unique Jarrah forests.

We held our banners high to also highlight the madness of $atterley’s crazy plan to bulldoze 60,000 100-200 year old Jarrah and Marri trees - habitat to Black Cockies, at North $toneville.

Special thanks to Dave Grills - Councillor - Shire of Mundaring East Ward - our community bus driver!

It was truly exhilarating to see so many Save Perth Hills T-shirts and banners in the crowd!

Today was all about unity - of so many like-minded, hard-working community groups.

It was about passion of so very many people who refuse to accept environmental destruction as a given.

And it was definitely a timely and uplifting reminder of the power of community and what we can achieve - together.
