Today we honour National Tree Day...

North $toneville’s 60,000 trees are breathing a little easier right now... and so are we.

The Perth Anglican Diocese has wanted North $toneville’s trees bulldozed for 33 years to make way for its relentlessly rejected, bushfire dangerous and environmentally destructive, 1990s townsite plan. $atterley applied in 2018 to clear North $toneville's vegetation and trees... 6 years later, it's still waiting for a decision.

Just last week the Federal Govt's Environment office (EPBC) decided to make $atterley wait even longer... delaying a decision on $atterley’s bulldozing application to September 18th.

Delay is good for us.

In that time WA’s State Tribunal (SAT) will schedule a 2025 hearing for $atterley’s THIRD appeal against WA’s Planning Commission rejections of the plan.

The EPBC may well be pushed back further, after SAT’s determination next year.

More on that soon...

For now... take a minute to relax and think of North $toneville's 60,000 trees which still stand, on this, our National Tree Day, thanks to your amazing and on-going efforts – to Save Perth Hills...
