14 months after the event, the long awaited review into the Wooroloo fire of February 2021 has FINALLY been released...

The report partly endorses Save Perth Hills's long held view that safer bushfire response must begin with safer planning - Prevention is better than cure!

That said, the report references bushfire RESPONSE measures as a priority... With the Perth Hills being labeled an extreme bushfire risk zone in the report, we'd have thought planning might have been featured across ALL the recommendations...

We're still curious as to why this report took so long to release and why it dropped today on Federal Budget Day.. one of the most significant media covered days in the year...
